Gloria Haydel Vaughan died on Monday July 28, 2025 in St Francisville,LA. She was born April 29, 1932 in Lions, LA to Lucille and Jules Haydel. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.
She was 93 years old and a resident of Central, LA for 58 years. Gloria retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a school bus driver with 25 years of impeccable service.
Visitation will be at St Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs, LA on Thursday July 31, 2025 beginning at noon until 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation, said by Father Jason Palermo. Burial will be in Azalea Rest Memorial Cemetery in Zachary, LA. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Angela Vaughan Clement, (Steve) and son, Walter Jules Vaughan (Brenda); grandchildren, Joshua Vaughan, (Kimberly); Ashley Nix; Lauren Foster (Adam); Lindsey Cook (Doug); Sarah Skillern (Mark); Leeann Otey (Shae); Morgan Wright (Ian); Connor Vaughan, (Hayden) and Daniel B Clement. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Conrad Lee Vaughan, daughter Elizabeth Vaughan; parents Lucille and Jules Haydel; brother, Ralph Haydel and sister-in-law, Mary Louise Vaughan. Gloria was a lifelong participant and leader of many 4-H activities and for many years served in the Altar Society at St Alphonsus Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
