Gloria Jane Vineyard, 83, of Whitney, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. She was 83 years old.

She was born September 28, 1941 in Gorman, Texas to William Hays (Bill) and Veda Lucile Smith. She graduated from Sidney High School in Sidney, Texas in 1960. She was a Christian, gifted artist, and avid baker known for her cinnamon rolls and Valentine cookies. She loved her family and was a second mother known as Momma Jane to her nieces, nephews and many other children in the community.

Momma Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Bill, Dean and Fred. She is survived by her sisters Lou Williams from Nevada, Linda (Larry) Robison from Texas, her brother Wayne (Carrie) Vineyard from Texas, her children Tracy (Steve) Wilson from Arkansas, Leslie (Andy) Montgomery from Texas, Billy Sikes from Arkansas, Gynetta (Marcus) Rynek from Colorado, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A virtual Celebration of Life will be posted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wings Over Texas Hospice for their support during this difficult time.
