Glynn Elbert Garner

Glynn Elbert Garner age 91, died at his home in Galveston on October 19, 2025. He was born in the small mill town of Stonewall Miss. on February 27, 1934, (no plumbing, no water, very little electricity.) the only child of Lyda and James Garner.

The family moved to Washington, DC at an early age. Glynn was raised and schooled (including college). Drafted and spent four years in the army, 2 years at Fort Benning, Ga. , 2 years as a reservist in .D.C. He spent eleven years working

for a lobbing Co in Washington, then moved to Los Angeles, Ca,.

Glynn went to work as a buyer for a big dept store in Los Angeles. After traveling two years through the Caribbean, Glynn wound up in Galveston working for a real-estate developer until the bust. He then opened his own business with a friend Richard, doing renovation, painting remodeling, etc. He finally retired after somewhere around 20 years.

Glynn leaves behind several second cousins in MS & best friend and care giver Richard Salinas Sr.

No services are planned as Glynn wanted a simple cremation.
