Goldia Williams Obituary

Visit the Webb Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.

Goldia May Craner Williams passed peacefully on December 2, 2025. Goldia was born in Wallace, Idaho, August 7, 1952, to Jack E and Nelda Joy King Craner. She had a loving childhood filled with adventures in Carson City, Nevada. She learned to sew at an early age and became a talented seamstress, making most of her high school clothes, baking delicious breads, and creating lifelong friendships.

Goldia attended Carson High School and graduated in 1970. She played the French Horn in the marching band. Later, she attended Brigham Young University, where she studied nursing. She made friends easily with her kind smile and happy personality.

She met and fell in love with D. Brent Williams and was later married on August 18, 1972, in the Manti Utah Temple. They started their life together in Provo, Utah. Later, they moved to Colorado for a short time before settling in Preston, Idaho, in 1975.

Goldia was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She exemplified her Savior’s Love. She served as a Relief Society President, inspired youth as a Young Woman leader and taught countless children in Primary and nursery.

Goldia was passionate about helping others. She worked for several years at the medical office for Dr. Grover in Preston. Later, her career led her to switch fields, where she shared her compassion and love of helping people in the dental office of Dr. Byron Kelley and Dr. Darron Kelley. Her friendships made there with fellow co-workers and patients were some of her life treasures.

Goldia Craner Williams was preceded in death by her parents, Jack E and Nelda Craner, her brother, Jack Craner, and many loved ones. She is survived by D. Brent Williams (husband), Neli Chamberlain (sister), and three children, Janelle (Quinn) Fowers, Jeremy (Tami) Williams, and Natalie (Scott) Snelders, and eight beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Preston 8th Ward Chapel, 213 E. 200 S. Preston, Idaho. Viewings will be held Friday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston, Idaho and again Saturday prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 am at the church.
