Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home of Irving on Dec. 10, 2025.
Corina Williams was born on March 28, 1940, in
Crystal City, Texas, to Jesus and Elisa Herrera. She was the fourth of fifteen beloved children. Growing up in a large and lively household instilled in her a deep sense of family, generosity, and devotion. Corina remained loyal and devoted to all her brothers and sisters and took great pride in being part of the Herrera family. She passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, at her home in
Irving, Texas.
Raised in San Antonio, Corina attended Ursuline Academy in San Antonio where through mutual best friend Celia and Harold Rademacher, she met the love of her life, Lester "Buddy" Williams. Their journey together began in Rio Grande City, and later, a federal government job transfer brought them to
Irving, Texas where they planted roots and raised their family. Corina and Buddy were blessed with six children, and Corina dedicated her life to creating a home filled with warmth, love, and unwavering support. She cared not only for her children but also became a second mother to many of their friends, always offering guidance, comfort, and an open door.
Once her children were older, Corina began a career with American Airlines in Reservations, later moving to the Tour and International Desk, where she helped clients plan unforgettable journeys. After 12 years, she transitioned to a Gate Agent position at DFW Airport, ensuring flights ran smoothly and passengers were cared for. Her work opened the door to one of her greatest passions-travel. With the benefits of her job, Corina explored the world alongside Buddy, creating cherished memories across countless destinations.
Corina embraced her role as a grandmother and great grandmother with boundless energy and joy. She attended every event she could, cheering from the stands, applauding in auditoriums, and immersing herself fully in the lives of her grandchildren. Whether it was a school performance, a sports game, or a simple family gathering, her presence was a constant source of love and encouragement.
Corina's love extended far beyond her immediate family. As an aunt to more than seventy nieces and nephews, she knew each one, loved each one, and made every one of them feel special. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Corina Romelia Williams was known and loved by so many. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and all those whose lives she enriched simply by being herself.
