Goldie Marie “McCann” Beal, finished her journey on earth and entered the kingdom of Heaven into Jesus’s loving embrace on October 26, 2023. She passed peacefully with her family by her side. She was born on August 2, 1933, in Driscoll, Texas, to John and Audestia McCann.
She was a member of a family of 15 children consisting of 11 brothers and four sisters. Willing to give love another chance, Goldie married Felton Russell Beal on July 22, 1954, who was her loving husband until his passing in 1977. Goldie resided in the Annaville area of Corpus Christi since 1966.
Goldie had a love for yard work, taking care of plants, fishing, and her favorite, which was playing Bingo. As a mother and grandmother, she supported love, forgiveness, and family unity, along with her belief in the Lord and his son Jesus Christ. She was loyal to her family and friends and has now taken the unique role of guardian angel.
She was a member of the Altar of Prayer Church of Corpus Christi and Hermann Sons Life. She especially enjoyed being in the presence of the Lord and her church family when she could attend.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Felton Russell Beal; parents, John Carl McCann and Audestia “Boatman” McCann; son, Glenn L. White; and brothers, Charles McCann, Henry McCann, Lester McCann, Clarence McCann, Leroy McCann, Lonis McCann, Virgil McCann, Melvin McCann, Leonard McCann, and two that were stillborn.
