Gordon Bennett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc Funeral Home on Oct. 1, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Sir Gordon Bennett, three score and four years, hailing from the land of Coxsackie in the realm of New York, passed from this plane to the next on August 6th of the 25th year of the 21st age.
While his profession was a land barons' master of records, Gordon will be remembered fondly as an adventurer, rogue, and bard whose zest for life led him on countless notable excursions. Many know the tales of his sailing trip across the Atlantic, his undaunted hike up Precipice Trail amidst Hurricane Irene, or his fearsome hockey playing and coaching as a young journeyman. His world-famous chicken wings will become legend, and the legend will become myth.
The son of swashbuckler Elden Bennett and relic hunter Sharon Bennett, Gordon's quest will be continued by his surviving party members.
This includes his sister, tutoress Kathleen Letts; his nephew, word hoarder Jason Letts; his niece-in-law, scholar of peoples Hannah Van Wely; their children, young squires Rory and Blake Letts; his niece, sophist Amanda Letts; his nephew-in-law, gamemaster Samuel Robinson; their children, young squires Silas and Zeke Robinson; his nephew, fixer John Letts; his neice-in-law, governess Kelsey Letts; and their child, young lass May Letts.
So raise a glass in a rowdy tavern to Gordon in celebration of his indomitable, boisterous spirit. Join a solemn hymn under the stars to him for his affection for felines and the environment. But most of all, keep a place in your heart for the man who endured life's slings and arrows with a smile and good cheer.
An honor tribute will take place on date at place at time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C. Brady's Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie.
