Gordon Walter Bouskill died on November 18, 2022, after a brief illness at home. Gordon lived in the Wilton Manors / Oakland Park area off-on for the past 15 years, with short periods spent at his "other home" in San Diego, California.
Gordon Bouskill was single at the time of his death and was not survived by any children. He is survived by his ex-wife, Karen Adele (Simpson) Bouskill, whom he was married to for twenty-two years, and remained close friends with after their divorce in 2008. His parents, Charlene (Younke) Bouskill and Gordon W. Bouskill, Sr., have preceded him in death. He was estranged from his two half-brothers, Paul Bouskill and Brian A. Bouskill, and his two half-sisters, Terri L. Bouskill and Melanie Bouskill. His motto when he came to his family was, "we forgive, we heal, but we don't forget."
Gordon loved the ocean, and spending time with his close friends. When you first met Gordon, he could be very shy until he got to know you, and then his gregarious nature would emerge, and you might be blind-sided by his wicked sense of humor.
He was a salesman by trade, but his occupation never defined his heart. Gordon's friends considered him a "deep-water" friend and could be counted on to be there in the rough times. He also deeply loved all animals and formed an instant bond with his friend's pets. He often said he preferred animals to people.
A celebration of Gordon's life will be held at a later time.
Instead of flowers, Gordon requested that his friends make donations to the Broward County Humane Society in remembrance of him
