Gordon was born in Aberdeen, WA to Clarence and Viola Budke. He grew up in Dayton, WA with his two brothers - Richard of LeSueur, MN and was preceded in death by Roger of Portland, OR.
Gordon built a life defined by leadership, integrity, and service, both as a CPA with Coopers and Lybrand and through his deep commitment to civic involvement. Gordon leaves a legacy which will continue to inspire future generations.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rhoda; his sons, David (Tanya, children Blake & Alexa), Jeffrey (Janet, children Anna & Nathan), and Matthew (Beth) who brought him immense pride and joy.
Gordon found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed traveling all over the world with Rhoda.
Gordon will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, humor, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him.
In lieu of flowers, consider getting involved in your community with the charity of your choice as Gordon frequently did.
A celebration of Gordon's life will be planned at a later date.

I am overwhelmed with grief and sadness and at the same time honored to have worked beside him in various capacities and to call him friend. He was my hero, my mentor and friend. I will miss our annual coffee dates. Rest in peace Gordon. May God bless you. My heart goes out to his beautiful wife Rhoda and family as they navigate this devastating loss.

Nature´s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf´s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
