I did not know Gordon all that well. He was a good neighbor to my father, however, and I will always be grateful for that. Several years before my father passed, Gordon had heard that dad fell coming up the basement stairs. Without anyone asking, Gordon came in and put a grab bar up at the bottom of the stairs, where dad had lost his balance. A good man, to be sure. We had talked a few times over the years, but now looking back, I realize that we didn't talk nearly enough. Gordon will be missed. Peace for him, finally.
