Coach Gordon Larson was a big part of my childhood. Coach Larson not only taught me how to swim and compete to the best of my ability, but I learned many valuable life lessons swimming for such a great coach and human being. I was fortunate to also have been very good friends with his daughter Gretchen with whom I spent many hours laughing and enjoying time at their home. I went on the swim at MSU and then moved out of state, but I have never forgotten my wonderful childhood years swimming for the Cohoes and remembering my many wonderful friendships made while swimming on Coach Larson's team. I truly cherish those years and I am very sorry to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.

Coach Gordy not only taught me how to swim and compete but most importantly taught me life long lessons. His knowledge and motivation gave me the opportunity to swim at Tennessee and Eastern Michigan. Thank you Coach for building a special CSC full of life long teammates/friends!!
