Gordon Lent Obituary
Gordon Charles Lent, 76, of Dawson, GA, passed away September 24, 2022 at his residence. Memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Mathews Funeral Home. An Inurnment will follow to Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Dwight Dunn will officiate.
Gordon was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 7, 1946, and raised in Davie FL. He served his Country with the U.S Army during the Vietnam war and later moved to Randolph Co. GA in the 1980’s then to Terrell County in the mid 1990’s. Gordon worked for the Dawson Police Department and Terrell County Sheriff Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew B. Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Lent of Dawson, GA, children, Jennifer Ward of Albany, GA, Matt Frost and his wife Laura of Valparaiso IN, grandchildren, Anna Beth Smith (Ethan), Sarah Ward, Evan Frost, William Frost, Madelyn Frost.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm
