Gordon Earl Pyle was born September 6, 1957 in Oklahoma City, OK to Franklin Earl Pyle and Patricia Louis Pyle. He was married to Gerralee "Boo" Pyle on August 25, 1978. As usual, Boo led the way and went on to be with the Lord on April 1, 2020. Gordon joined her and his Savior on March 4, 2025.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patty Pyle; brother, Danny Pyle; grandson, Jeremiah Drennan; granddaughter, Elliora Loy; and wife, Boo Pyle.
Gordon is survived by his sister, Cindy Avera and her husband, Bobby Avera; daughter, Tana Drennan and husband, Joshua Drennan; granddaughters, Miranda, Morgan, and Marley Drennan; grandsons, Joshua and Waylon Drennan; son, Gordon "Gordie" Pyle and his wife, Shayla Shadid; granddaughters, Iris and Ivy Pyle; and grandson, Conrad Pyle. He is also survived by his children; Rory Loy, and his daughters, Maryk and Kambryn Loy; and Johnna Sexton, and her children, Blake, Elijah and Emma Sexton.
Most people considered Gordon family because his heart was open to everyone. He loved being called "Dad" and "Uncle," but he was most proud of the title "Papa." His grandchildren and dogs were his whole world.
He was "the guy you called to fix it." He would drive hours to help his family or friends, and he had the amazing talent to fix anything. Gordon and Boo welcomed family into their home with open arms, and if you were their friend, you were family!
Gordon was always up for a good time! He loved music (his music of course) he loved fixing things and he loved the lake. He would pull the kids behind the boat for hours and hours and he might have been responsible for teaching 100 people how to kneeboard! When the water turned to glass, Gordon would take his turn behind the boat and amaze everyone with his ability to slalom ski and barefoot ski. Then he would play DJ and cook up enough food to feed an army.
He never asked for help and would always put others in front of himself.
When Gordon spoke of his grandchildren his voice was filled with pride and love. It was important to him that they loved the lake like he and his children loved the lake. Eufaula will always be a place of fond memories of Nana and Papa.
Gordon and Boo created a life filled with family, friends and fun times. When you think of Gordon, you can't help but hear his infectious laugh and smile.
*As his daughter, I am sure that as soon as dad crossed through the Pearly Gates, he was greeted by mom yelling, "DammitGordon, it's about time."*
Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Sunday 1:00pm-8:00pm with family present from 4:00-6:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10 at 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
