Gordon Ray Spenser
July 10. 1951 – November 16, 2023
Gordon Ray Spenser, 72 passed away on November 16, 2023
at his home in Myrtle Beach. Gordon was predeceased by his
mother Marion (Slater) Spenser and father Ray A Spenser. He
is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Lou (DeLuca)
Spenser, his son Brian Spenser and stepson Joseph Volante, his
only sibling, brother Kenneth Spenser (Sally), his stepmother
Marie Spenser and daughter in law Wendy Howie.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Zoey, Nicholas and
Matthew Volante, as well as three nieces and nephews and five
grand nieces and nephews.
Gordon was born in Albany N.Y, but was raised in Whippany,
N.J. He had degree in Restaurant Management but his love for
Automotive mechanics drove him to make a career change. He
spent many decades managing auto and tire shops. When
moving to Myrtle Beach, he was a Service Manager for Mason
Tire, a Service Writer for C & G Auto, and a driver for NAPA
Auto Parts. Gordon was always busy and willing to help
anyone. He enjoyed spending time fishing, watching sports and
making improvements and maintenance to his house.
He will be missed by family and friends. Eternal Love for him
and May He Rest in Peace.
Visitations will be at: Myrtle Beach Funeral Home On
Tuesday November 21 st, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm
Cremation to take place, In lieu of flowers, please make
memorials to: Grand Strand Humane Society
