Grace was born on August 18, 1936, in Oakfield, WI, daughter of Joseph and Marie (Hunke) Eggers. She was united in marriage to Leo Clark on April 22, 1961, in Oakfield, WI. For nearly 20 years, Grace dedicated her hard work and passion to Helen’s Kitchen, where many will remember her for her culinary skills and warm smile. Baking and cooking were not just her profession; they were her true loves. She found joy in creating delicious meals and treats that brought friends and family together. Never one to shy away from hard work, many a summer day was spent on her and Leo’s small farm making hay or at one of her sibling’s farms helping them. Grace also enjoyed playing cards, often challenging her family and friends to a friendly game with her competitive spirit and quick wit. She had a near magic touch when it came to taming the one-armed bandits. A trip to the casino was a welcome break from the routine. Above all, Grace cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was a haven filled with laughter, love, and the sweet aromas from her kitchen. The moments she shared with her family will be treasured forever.
Grace is survived by her children, Mike Clark, Steve (Lisa) Clark, Kristina “Tina” (Jim) Brown, Therese “Tess” (Jamie) Farr and Matt (Brenda) Clark; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; her siblings, Josie Preipke, Arlene Weise and Jim Eggers; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
