Kohls Community Funeral Home - WaupunDavid John Buss was born March 15, 1960, in Wauwatosa, WI, and lived in Waupun, WI until August 21, 2025, where he eternally retired to his beautiful place. He was the beloved son of Harvey and Martha Buss, brother of Sherri (Buss) Pulda, and husband of Wanda (Henning) Buss, who preceded him in death on September 2, 1992.
Dave is survived by his three children, Teresa R. Buss, David N. Buss, and Jessica L. Buss. Dave leaves behind grandchildren from David N. Buss and Ashley Bielmeier, Noah D. and David J. Buss and their sister Kali Stewart, who Grandpa Dave loved dearly. Dave is also survived by his partner Cindi Wojahn, who honored his wishes to care for him through his painful journey with cancer. It is without a doubt; Dave will be forever grateful for this and his joyful times with Cindi.
All those who knew Dave would testify to his simple way of being, kind heart, and playful sense of humor. He was a man who only wanted the best for everyone and worked to be the funny guy to make you smile. Dave’s laughter was contagious and so were his boyish antics, including his love for lighting fireworks. Dave will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. May we all remember him through our laughter and love of music, as this was his favorite ways to enjoy life with the people he loved.
Per Dave’s request, there was no burial service offered to the community. Instead, a memorial celebration is open to all who want to stop by and share their favorite stories about Dave through the years. The celebration will be on Dave’s birthday, Sunday March 15, 2026, at Jud-Sons, 416 East Main Street, Waupun, WI 53963, from 2-4:00 pm.
