Grace Kline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. - Renfrew/Connoquenessing Twp. on Sep. 21, 2022.
Grace T. Klein of Randolph, Ohio, passed away on September 18th at Altercare of Hartville. She was 92.
Grace was born on July 7, 1930 to William and Mabel Ratigan of Freedom, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Freedom High School in 1948, she went on to study nursing at Providence Hospital and later used those skills while volunteering her time to care for members of the community. She married John J. Jones of Evans City, Pennsylvania, in 1951 and they had five children. Following John's death, Grace married George F. Klein of Randolph, Ohio, in 1962, adding two more children to the family. Grace was a kind and patient mother whose children have fond memories of hot tea before school and an encouraging note in their lunchbox each day. She loved being a mother and delighted in holding and playing with each new grandchild. She also loved traveling with George to visit family members, swim in the ocean, and go out to eat on Sundays. Always proud of her Irish heritage and Pennsylvania roots, she enjoyed watching Gene Kelly dance and listening to "Moon River." Grace was a faithful member of St. Joseph Church in Randolph. She participated in prayer group for many years and loved singing hymns and praying the rosary. In the weeks before her death, Grace was surrounded by those who loved her, including George, her husband of sixty years, and all of her children. Dearly loved by those who knew her, she was blessed with visits and calls from her grandchildren far and wide and her Pennsylvania nieces.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Jones, and her brothers and sisters: Bill, Birdie, Mike, Kitty and Marge. She is survived by her loving husband, George, and children, Matthew (Paula) Jones of Travelers Rest, SC, Kathleen Jones of Hartville, OH, Joy (Kenny) Gerhartinger of Rootstown, OH, Michael Jones of North Canton, OH, Mary (Sean) Kelly of New Wilmington, PA, Patricia (John) Crum of Wooster, OH, Joan (Tom) Godfrey of Lexington, VA, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, September 22nd from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260. A Mass of Christian Burial will be begin at 11 a.m. with Father Jim Lang presiding. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
