Grace Bowles Woods McBride (89) passes away om December 7th, 2025 at Life Care of Hilliard. Grace was born in Durham, North

Carolina on May 4, 1936 to the late Ervin Lee Woods and late Mary Christmas Carrigan Woods. Grace lived in Durham and attended school until she married. Grace married Horace (Hoss) Stanley McBride on May 19, 1951. They were married for 60 before he passed away.

Horace was in the Air Force so they did a lot of traveling during his service and they retired in Ft Walton Beach. Florida. Grace started a business called Missco Maids which she owned and managed for over 30 years until she sold the business. Grace had one son Horace Stanley McBride Jr,

Grace attended Mary Esther Baptist Church for many years and taught Sunday school to children for many years. She always had a special love for children

Grace was greatly loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Grace was preceded in death by her son Horace Stanley McBride Jr, sister Dorothy Lanier, brother in law Augustus Lanier, brother Melvin Woods and sister in law Eva Woods and nephews Steven Pate and Melvin Woods Jr

Grace is survived by her nieces Shelia (Tom) Grossholz, Renee (Henry) Tuggle and Rachel (Luke) Rowland. Nephew Michael (Stephanie) Lanier

Great nephews Henry Tuggle Jr , Luke Rowland Jr

And great nieces Crystal (Jared) McClendon, Lisa (Joel)Geraci, Mandy (Adam) Albritton, Ashley (Orlando) Jose and Katie Clere and many Great Great nieces and nephews with many extended family members and friends.
