E. W. (Bill) McBride, Jr.
On December 2, 2025, the Lord called and Bill answered at the age of 78. Bill was born October 24, 1947, in Houston, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeannie Kaye (Jake), his son Jason, daughter-in-law Kristey, three grandsons, Dylan, Camryn, and Gavin McBride, and one great granddaughter, Harper Shay. Bill is also survived by three siblings, Linda McBride Oliver, Steven McBride (Bobbie), and Debbie Cross (Karen), brother-in-law Donald Wayne Senor, several nieces and nephews and life long friends, Paul and Patty Harris, Robert Blain, and Roland Morgan.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Faye L. Cross, father-in-law Don Senor, and mother-in-law Jeannie Senor McAdams.
Bill was a life long resident of Conroe. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1966. While in High School he played on the basketball and baseball teams, and ran track. Bill served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He then went to work for HB&T Railroad and retired after 36 years with the BNSF Railway as an engineer.
Bill was an avid golfer and played every day after his retirement with his lifelong friends. Bill loved going to the Bay with Jake for fishing trips with Paul and Patty, and quick trips to Coushatta for gambling and golf. He loved watching the Houston Astros.
Bill and Jake enjoyed every day of retirement together. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends. He loved to laugh, had a quick wit, and was exceptionally sharp with teasing and joking.
