Oh, I hate this. Bill was always kind took a minute to visit and catch up when we ran into each other. He was selfless in working to make Conroe and Montgomery County a better place.

My husband, Tom, and I along with my sister and brother-in-law, Mark and Sandy Cawley, and my brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Shelli Sellers, are praying for comfort for Bill's family. We continue to appreciate the wonderful way Bill served our parents, Bob and Evelyn Sellers, during their lifetimes. Our father, Bob, always wanted Bill Jr to measure him for suit and trouser alterations during the days Cochrans was open, saying Bill Jr was the best. We also continue to appreciate what Bill did over the years for the city of Conroe and Conroe High School.

Bill was a good friend and a Roaring Conroe Tiger. He called and his friend would start the first CHS Friends and graduated from Conroe High to start the first CHS fundraiser for those who gratitude to further their education by giving students to continue with their dreams. Every year we raised more funds and gave the money out all that year we raised money and start over every year. The group started small, but grew hope it always continues. The Tiger in front of Conroe High was donated by graduates for a memorial for Coach Spikes who also gave his life just like Bill. We will miss our dear friend Tigers stand and Roar.

I met Bill at work, but he quickly became a good friend. He always had a kind word. Through tough times he was loyal and steadfast. He always showed up because he wanted to be part of what was happening. I called him "Woodlands Royalty" and he loved that. I miss him dearly.

Bill was certainly a fixture in Conroe's business, government and community scene. His friendly smile and clever sense of humor were always evident. It was a treat to encounter him downtown; he was never too busy to share a kind word and brighten one's day. I am sad to learn of his passing.
