Danville – Grace Elizabeth (Vogel) Rogers, age 83, passed away at home on November 19, 2025. We mourn her loss, but celebrate her victory. This earth is not our home. She has finished the race and is now home with the Lord.
Grace was born in Galion on February 9, 1942. In July of 1962, she married David A. Rogers. Together they worked their entire life to win souls for the Lord. Dave and Grace's ministries included Welcome Church of Christ in Holmes County; Millwood Church of Christ; Concerned Christian Church in DeFuniak Springs, FL; Howard Church of Christ; and Marion Road Church of Christ in Bucyrus. He was a member of the New Life Church of Christ in Bellville. She was currently a member of the Millwood Church of Christ. Grace also owned different craft shops over the years, and loved decorating her home, and her flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Eva Margaret (Zeller) Vogel; her husband, David; her son, Ron Rogers; a grandson, Nick Rogers; and her sister, Mary Swihart.
Grace’s living family includes her children, John (Patricia) Rogers of Fredericktown, Don (Laura) Rogers of Fredericktown, Debra (Jeff) Bowman of Danville, Scott (Gina) Rogers of Virginia Beach, Betty (Doug) Severns of Danville; “adopted” daughter, Iris; grandchildren, Michael (Andrea), Kayla, Brendalee (Kyle), Danielle (Adam), Preston, Codie, Maddie (Noah), Brandi, Ashley, Megan (Evan), and Emily (Zack); great grandchildren, Ameilia, Tycen, Laney, Kolten, Sawyer, Kaiden, Emma, Landen, Ruby, Tommy, Landon, Ashlynn, Evy, and two more due in December; and sister-in-law, Shirley Nichols.
A funeral service will take place at the Millwood Church of Christ at 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 24. Dave Jones will officiate. A graveside committal will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Shauck Cemetery, 7607 US 42 Mansfield, 44904. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time.
