Grace G. Terwilliger

High Falls – On Wednesday March 25, 2026, Grace Georgia Terwilliger passed over in her sleep at Golden Hill Nursing Facility after a six-month long battle of various aging health challenges. She was born in Rifton, New York on December 8, 1931daughter of Sally and Alwin Nicholas. At the age of 5 her family moved to High Falls where she spent the entirety of her life along with her husband Eugene Curtis Terwilliger and their 4 children, Guy, Ginger, Heidi and Georgia. Grace was known and loved by many in the community through her various vocations. She spent numerous years working at the Town Pantry along side Dutch Moon. She worked at the Key Bank in Stone Ridge, the Ulster Community College, Vitacable and was a volunteer at the Local Food pantry in her later years. She was also a regular attendee to the local Christ The King Church of Stone Ridge where she donated her time of service to the parish hall. Grace loved her home, her family and her pets, domestic and wild, feeding the birds was a top priority on her list of to do's along with her gardening. She loved where she lived and led a beautiful, happy life, if one were to measure her contentment, we would say it was a (10). She just enjoyed where she was and how here life unfolded. There is no greater value to life than being happy with what you were given, and if troubles did arise, "Stay Strong" was her motto. Grace, Our Mom, will be greatly missed, more than words could ever say. She was a wonderful, true, fine soul of light and we were truly blessed to have her as our own. Grace's husband of 68 years Eugene, passed before her in June 2019. Grace is survived by her sister, Beverly Yochmann, her son Guy Terwilliger, daughters, Ginger Coombe, Heidi Curless and Georgia Terwilliger. Also survived by her daughter in law Gail, grandson Bleu, his wife Diana Terwilliger, 3 other grandchildren, Myles, Dustin and Cheyenne, great grandchild Macayla, son in laws, Ernie Curless and Michael Cunningham. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday March 30, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm at George Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Rt. 32, Rosendale. Rev. Marcella Gillis will officiate her funeral service at Christ The King Church in Stone Ridge, NY on Tuesday March 31,2026 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at the High Falls Cemetery. Gathering at High Falls Café Stone Ridge after. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations to the Church of Christ the King Episcopal Church, 3021 State Route 213, Stone Ridge, NY 12484.
