Gracie Wilson Obituary
Gracie Neace Wilson, 95, of South Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024. She was born a coal miner’s daughter on May 24, 1929 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lidda Neace. She is also preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
After working many years as a machine operator, she retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in 1985.
Gracie is survived by her sons, Marvin H. Wilson Jr. and Larry W. Wilson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wilson; granddaughters, Teresa Turgeon, Karen McKinnon (David); Olivia Lindsay Wilson, grandson, Keith Wilson; great-granddaughter, Meranda Turgeon; great-grandsons, Dylan Kirby and Shane Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, with Reverend Jim Burton officiating at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA, 23834. Interment will follow the service at 12:00 noon at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
