Gracie Eileen Dishon Worrell, 81, of Snowville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born in Snowville on December 8, 1943, to the late William Alvis and Hassie Holliday Dishon. Gracie was a devoted wife and mother. She married the love of her life, Earnest, at 16 and they enjoyed 63 years of each other's company. She loved quilting, baking, reading and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She was a strong, faithful woman who loved her family well. Gracie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Earnest Worrell; her infant daughter, Sandra Lynn Worrell; and her sister, Agnes Smith.
She is survived by her son, Jackie D. Worrell; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie Worrell Quesenberry (Michael); granddaughters, Autumn Brooke and Alyson Blake Quesenberry; sister, Belva Lorraine Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Dishon (Reba), Ricky Dishon (Debby) and Jeff Dishon (Margaret); sisters-in-law, Hattie Worrell Simpkins and Edna Worrell DeLap; and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. with Evangelist Dwight Haynes officiating. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Dishon Cemetery in Snowville.
