Grady Albert passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 10, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born October 10, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Roy and Gloria Albert.

After graduating from Austin High School and attending the University of Houston, he began his career as an electronics technician. Grady retired from Schlumberger after 26 years of service, and many company picnics with the family. After serving for two years in the National Guard, Grady married the love of his life, Peggy, on June 25, 1966.

In his younger years, Grady enjoyed playing pool, golf, softball, coaching Little League, growing cactus and even raising parakeets with his father-in-law. Grady ("Shady") enjoyed watching the Astros and Texans, and old movies and shows, especially Perry Mason. He also loved his Saturday nights at Gringo's, where he was affectionately known as Chardonnay.

Grady is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Ann (Taylor) Albert, two children, son Craig Albert, and daughter Donna John and her husband Martin, grandchildren Ashlee, Michael, Katie and her husband Raymond, Audrey and great-grandson Dylan. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws Mary Grace Tayor and Mary Ann Taylor, many nieces and nephews and other beloved family members and friends. Grady is preceded in death by his parents, Gloria (Gebert) Albert and Roy Albert, and Richard "Dick" Taylor and James "Butch" Taylor.
