With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Grady Kirkland Smith, who left us too soon on September 16, 2025. Born on July 24, 1996, Grady was a son, brother, and a true friend to all who knew him.
A 2014 graduate of Monterey High School, Grady had a remarkable gift for working with his hands. His passion for tinkering and fixing things, especially big trucks, led him to become a skilled diesel mechanic. More than his mechanical abilities, Grady will be remembered for his kindness and his readiness to help anyone in need. He truly loved his family and friends and was always there for them.
Grady leaves behind his loving mother, Donna Smith; his brothers, Patrick Smith, Christopher Smith, and his sister, Channa Smith; and his girlfriend, Sara Williams. He is now reunited with his father, Grady Malcolm Smith, who passed away in 2012.
