In Loving Memory of Greg Ault

Greg Ault, 53, of Butler, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Born on April 6, 1972, in Auburn, Greg was a proud 1990 graduate of Eastside High School. He built a dedicated career as a Senior Door Technician at LaGrange Overhead Door Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the pride he took in providing for his family.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Max Ault; his brother, Joe Ault; and his nephew, Adam Smith. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Judy (Griggs) Anspach; his stepfather, Marty Anspach; and his stepmother, Sally Ault. He is survived by his five sons: Gregory Smith II; Blake (Madison) Ault; Johnathon (Alyssa) Ault; Joe Ault; and Skyler (Krista Doyle) Hill. Greg was a proud grandfather to Hunter Creamer, Lincoln Creamer, Cora Ault, Marshall Ault, and Lila Ault. He is also survived by his siblings, Tammy (Matt) Smith, Spencer (Susan Kinzer) Anspach, Heather (David) Elder, and Garth (Amy) Leavitt; many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and his life partner, Kimberly Kolb.

In his younger years, Greg had a passion for playing hockey. As his family grew, he dedicated much of his time to coaching and supporting his sons, rarely missing a game or opportunity to cheer them on. He also found joy in beekeeping, spending time outdoors, watching the Denver Broncos, and gathering with those he loved most.

Above all, Greg will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend. His strength, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of many. He had a generous heart and a deep love for his family, and he found his greatest happiness in the time he spent with them.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at County Line Church of God, 7716 County Line Road E., Auburn, Indiana 46706. Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service, with service and visitation times to be announced. Greg's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
