Ethan Michael Fike, 19, of Butler, Indiana died tragically Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Butler.
He was born October 5, 2006, in Fort Wayne to Shane and Amanda (Maberson) Fike.
Ethan was a senior at Garrett High School in Garrett and had previously attended Eastside High School in Butler. He didn't just attend school-he transformed it. Through his unwavering commitment to connection and care, he built a brotherhood that extended beyond classrooms and into the heart of the community. His influence wasn't loud, but it was lasting: a quiet force that made everyone feel seen, supported, and inspired.
He was baptized at and attended Corunna United Brethren in Christ Church in Corunna.
He was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into, not just with laughter, but with grit, heart, and an undeniable presence. He loved boxing, lifting weights, and everything about health and fitness. But it wasn't just about strength, it was about discipline, determination, and pushing himself to be better every single day.
An excellent wrestler, he was the toughest competitor you'd ever meet, fierce, focused, and relentless. Yet, he never let that edge dull his sportsmanship. Win or lose, he showed respect, humility, and grace. He was the funniest in the room, always quick with a joke or a smile, and somehow made even the hardest days feel lighter.
He had the biggest heart. He cared deeply about how he presented himself, about the people around him, and most of all, about his family. His love for them ran deep, and it showed in everything he did. He was determined, driven, and full of pride, not the boastful kind, but the kind that comes from knowing who you are and living with purpose.
He was a fighter in every sense of the word, for his goals, for his people, and for the life he built. And he'll be remembered not just for his strength, but for his spirit.
Surviving are his father, Shane Fike of Butler; two sisters, Athena (fiancé, Brady Long) Fike of Butler and Addison Fike of Butler; paternal grandparents, Donald (Brenda) Fike of Butler and Theresa Shisler of Butler; maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Maberson of Fort Wayne; two aunts, Casondra Brooks of Milton, Kentucky and Shandi Linthicum of Kendallville; and three uncles, Kristopher (Dulce) Maberson of Fort Wayne, Donald (Crystal) Fike of Kendallville and Dustin (Brittany) Fike of Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Fike on October 10, 2021.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at County Line Church of God, 7716 North County Line Road E, Auburn.
Funeral services will also be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Gabe Pranger officiating.
Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett.
Casketbearers will be Eli Pilon, Lane Reed, Tyson Fike, Hunter Ellinger, Jake Warstler, Sam Pittman, Lane Snyder, and Linkin Carter.
Preferred memorials are to the family for expenses.
