Greg Callahan

Mr. Greg Callahan, age 62, of Chatsworth, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Greg was a proud member of Gospel Way Baptist Church and loved dirt track racing at North Georgia Speedway, racing as # 23 and "SpongeBob." He was a life-long Georgia Bulldogs fan. Above all else, he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Callahan; his brother, Rickey Callahan; his paternal grandparents, Freeman and Susie Callahan; his maternal grandparents, Albert and Charm Johnson; and his father-in-law, Lloyd "Ebb" McBee.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy McBee Callahan of Chatsworth; his children and their spouses, Kasha and Nathaniel Johnson of Chatsworth, Cameron Callahan of Chatsworth, and Brandon and Renee Bowen of Dalton, GA; his father, Billy Joe Callahan (Ellen) of Chatsworth; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Becky Callahan of Chatsworth, Terry and Kim Callahan of Chatsworth, Jackie Callahan of Chatsworth, and Orville and Jodi Stuckey of Cohutta, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Denise Hayes of Chatsworth, and Sherry and David Baggett of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Keira Callahan, Deklen Johnson, Luke Bowen, and Paisley Bowen; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Spud and Betty Bingham; many extended family members and special friends also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Greg Callahan will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Roberts, Bro. Shane Bingham, and Bro. Chris Byers officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
