Mr. William Ray Hullender Sr., age 47, of Resaca, GA., passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at AdventHealth Gordon, surrounded by his loving family.
William was born on October 28, 1978, in Chatsworth, Georgia, the son of the late Frank Hullender and Christine Martz. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his daughter Chelsie Hullender.
Survivors include his loving wife, Candace Marie (Gray) Hullender, and his sons, William Hullender
Jr (Khrea Pernell) and Tanner Warren, daughter, Avery Warren; sister-in-law, Misty and Billy Green; mother-in-law, Deborah and David Headrick; nephews, Lucas Green and Liam Green. Several half-brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends also survive..
William Hullender Sr was loved by many. He adored his family, especially his wife. His children and nephews always held a special place in his heart. William loved the outdoors and bled Ford Blue through and through. You could find William in a deer stand in the cooler months and slinging a rod in the warmer months. During the football season, you would hear him yelling Roll Tide! William had a heart for helping others, no matter the cost. He was the man you knew you could call, and he would be there. William loved being able to spend time coaching softball with his daughter, Avery. William adored the time he got to spend with the boys, teaching them about fishing, hunting, mechanics, and life lessons. William was an active attendee at Opportunity Baptist Church were loved to participate, making the children smile in Vacation bible school. William was a very hardworking man; he went to work every single day and worked long hours proudly to provide for his family and give them the best life possible. William was truly a wonderful person who will be missed deeply by everyone blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the chapel at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, Chatsworth, with Rev. Evans "Blue" Parker and Bruce Morrison officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, Chatsworth.
