Gregory Lee Palmer, 47, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away on March 23rd, 2025. He was born in Knoxville, TN on January 24th, 1978. He was passionate about being a public servant in taking care of animals with Young Williams Animal Shelter and as an animal control officer. He enjoyed watching and attending UT football games, teaching his brother and was a great problem solver.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Palmer; stepdad, Chris Wimbrow; father-in-law, Lance Mezga; and grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Wimbrow; wife, Sarah Palmer; sister, Denise (Jimmy) Brown; brother, Andrew Wimbrow; sister-in-law, Leah Combs and husband (Andrew Combs); nieces, Carter and Parker; nephews, Tanner, Travis, & Trevor.
Special thanks to Dr. Randall Trudell and his staff at university neurology.
A visitation for Greg will be held at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, from 12:00pm-1:00pm, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please send charitable donations to either the ALS Association or Gleason Foundation.
