Greg Burdett Phelps, 69, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on May 25, 1956 in Victoria, Texas to Jay Burdett Phelps and Kay Kirk.

Growing up in a military family, Greg attended many schools. He attended Jay High School in Jay, OK. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force following in his father's footsteps. During his military service, he specialized in electronics. After serving our Country, he worked in various trades, mostly in the Transportation Industry.

One of Greg's passions was riding his Harley, with his beloved dog Flash. He enjoyed playing golf, socializing and spending time with family and friends. Greg enjoyed grilling and sharing his lifetime adventures. As a self-taught guitarist, he loved strumming his guitar. He loved being involved in his children's and grandchildren's lives. Most of all, he wanted everyone to be happy and have a smile on their face.

Greg is preceded in death by his mother Kay Kirk and stepfather Frank Kirk, father Jay Phelps and his brother Mark Phelps.

Greg is survived by his children Travis, Dakota, MaKenna and Zane; his grandchildren, Zoey, Deuce, Sophia and Lakelyn; his brothers Scott, Stacy and King and their families; his sisters Tori and Laura and their families. Coming from a blended family, his stepmom Ann Phelps; and a host of bonus brothers and sisters; extended family and friends.

Greg's family will have a Private Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

In lieu of flowers you may send memorials to St. Judes Children Hospital in memory of Greg Phelps.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W Gray St., Jay, OK. 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
