Greg Sheets

Greg Sheets, 73, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on September 14, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Greg was an excellent cook, and avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He was highly involved in youth sports during his younger years with the Madison Ave Little League. He was well-known for his jokes, liked playing golf and going to Wawasee Lake with his close circle of friends. His favorite activity was spending time with his wife and family as well as attending anything his grandsons were doing.
He retired as a Tool and Dye maker for Guide Lamp division of General Motors in 2003, where he served on the UAW Board.
Greg is survived by his loving spouse of 50 years, Karen (Swinehart) Sheets, sons, Patrick, wife, Jennifer (Freeman) Sheets, and, Kevin, wife Karoline (Fowler) Sheets; brother, Don "Bucky" (Betsy) Sheets, Jr., and Rex (Debby) Sheets; grandsons, Abram, William and Philip Sheets, niece, Jennifer Sheets, nephews, Brandon Sheets, Joby Sheets, and Nathan Sheets, Brett Webb, Kyle Webb, Craig Behnke, Brian Behnke; and sister-in-law, Kathy Webb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Vera J. Sheets.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street Anderson, IN.
Services will be on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
