Gregory "Greg" Robert Swyers, 82, of Benton, Tennessee passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Greg was a faithful and dedicated member at Zion Baptist Church, President of the Benton Lions Club, and was the founder of Remington for more than 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Burton Swyers and his beloved granddaughter Christina.
Left to cherish the many memories include the love of his life, of 33 years, Lorene; children, Barbie (Robert) Leroux, Brenda (Paul) Juras, Kim Nelms and Tony (Jaime) Sipe; grandchildren, whom he adored, Keirsten, Kalin, Heather, James, Nick and Katherine; his great grandchildren, Nahala, Emmalee, Lelann, Gracy and Everly; sister, Janet Witzke.
He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and his community.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Hazlewood and Rev. Steve Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Nick Sipe, Brandon Calhoun, John "Burr" Lewis, Andrew Morgan, Russell Rogers and Roy Blackwell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilson Rogers, Johnny Campbell, Lou Brammer and George Bramlett.
Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.HigginsFuneral.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
