Greg Sylvis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beinhauer-Connell Funeral Services on Dec. 7, 2025.
Age 53, of Bethel Park, formerly of Stanton Heights, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 with his wife, Dana, by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dana, of 26 years; his children, Jordan Grybel, Nicholas Sylvis, Christopher Sylvis, and Regan Sylvis; his mother, Michele Sylvis; his sister, Aliza (Mike) Balcer; his half-brother, Don Sylvis; and his niece, Taylor Balcer. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Sylvis. Greg loved all of his canine companions, Rig, Geno, Atari and the late Hines. He enjoyed all Pittsburgh sports and was an avid Duke University Basketball Fan. He also became an integral part of the Thiel Lacrosse team, serving as their biggest fan through every win and loss. His unwavering support and genuine spirit meant a great deal to all of the teammates and he made a lot of friendships throughout. Greg will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, infectious sense of humor, his genuine care for others, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. Even in times of personal struggle, Greg never failed to ask others how they were doing. Greg's pride and joy in his life were his children. He was always and will always be their biggest fan. His spirit of kindness, humor, and heartfelt concern for others touched the lives of many. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and Family are welcome at 5120 W. Library Ave. Bethel Park, 412-835-7940, Monday, December 8, 2025 6-8PM and Tuesday December 9, 2025 12-2PM, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday 2PM. Interment will be private.
