Gregory Daniel Williams, age 56 of Waynesville, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025. He was born February 20, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Danny and Patricia Williams.
Greg was a graduate of Pickerington High School, class of 1987. After high school, he attended Ohio University and Columbus State. Greg was an IT Career Professional, with the bulk of his career spent at IBM as a Senior Systems Engineer. After surviving his own battle with male breast cancer, Greg became a special volunteer for Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, raising funds for childhood cancer. He was an avid Ohio State football, Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved spending time outdoors; camping and hiking in our nation's National Parks. Greg will be remembered for his loving heart, his love for animals, especially dogs, his generosity and kindness to strangers and his smile that could light up a room.
He is preceded in death by his beloved dog, Baxter; maternal grandparents, Alma and Charles McKinney; paternal grandparents, Thelma and Carl Williams; and his cousin, Stephanie Knipp.
Greg is survived by both his mother and father (Bonita); his beloved wife, Suze (nee Tonjes); sister, Lori (Chris) Gianattasio; daughters, Ashlee Tonjes and Arden Tonjes; niece and nephew, Chandler Gianattasio and Chase (Allison) Gianattasio; granddaughters, Savanna Tonjes (Bijesh) and Payton Roth; uncles, Fred (Mary) Williams and Roy McKinney; numerous cousins and his Minxee.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately for the family in the spring.
