Leo Williams, a cherished soul known to his friends and family as Leo, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the age of 98 in Ector, Texas. Born on November 4, 1927, in Clarendon, TX, to Benjamin and Irene Williams. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.
After bravely serving his country in the Army Air Force, Leo returned to his roots and built a legacy that would continue to flourish. His commitment to duty was seamlessly woven into his civilian life as he embarked on a fulfilling and dedicated career with Texas Electric.
Upon his well-earned retirement, Leo did not settle for a life of leisure. Instead, he turned to the land, embracing the role of farmer and rancher. His hands, weathered from years of honest toil, tended the earth and cared for his cattle, reflecting his deep love for the simple pleasures of life.
A man of few words, Leo's actions spoke volumes about his character. He was a beacon of reliability and integrity, embodying the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. His life was a testament to the belief that a person's worth is measured not by their possessions or accolades, but by the love they share and the respect they earn.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, children, Leo Steve Williams and wife Debbie, Deanna Elvington and husband Bob, 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Leo is preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.
A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Carson Cemetery starting at 1pm.
