Robert E. Burfiend

Robert “Bobby” Burfiend, 68, of Telephone, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home Feb. 13, 2026. He was born on April 2, 1957, in Dallas.

Bobby was a husband, loving father and grandfather, and caring brother who always put his family first. He was known for his kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He especially cherished time with his granddaughter, Ava, who brought him great joy.

When he was not spending time with his wife, daughter, and son, Bobby could often be found riding his motorcycle, camping, or fishing with his brother and cousin — activities that brought him peace and happiness.

Bobby devoted much of his life to caring for his daughter, Sarah, who bravely lived with cerebral palsy. His selfless love and commitment reflected his deep faith and compassionate heart.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Burfiend; his wife, Mary Burfiend; and his parents, Robert and Wanda Burfiend.

He is survived by his brother, Paul Burfiend; his son, Donny Burfiend; his granddaughter, Ava; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, 913 S. Fifth St., Bonham, Texas 75418.
