GREGERY K. LUND
Gregery K. Lund, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in West Jordan, UT. After living courageously with dementia, he entered a brief final illness and passed surrounded by love.
Gregery was born in Preston, ID, to Fred Baker Lund and Emma Margrethe Gregersen on October 10, 1948. He graduated from Preston High School in 1967 and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oklahoma- Missouri.
Gregery never stopped working with his hands or trying new things. He baked bread, built his own home, kept bees, played guitar and harmonica, fixed cars, and raised horses and mules. Over the years, he worked in a variety of jobs including janitorial work, farming, and furniture repair. He had a deep love for animals, and his kindness, friendly spirit, faith, and hope defined him as much as his many talents. Some friends knew him as “Radar.”
Gregery was sealed to Marva Maughan on November 24, 1971, in the Logan Utah Temple, and they had six children. Though heartbroken by the loss of his first wife and young son sixteen years into their marriage, he found love again with Donna Runchel Lund, whom he married on December 6, 1990. With Donna came five children of her own, and Greg became the father they deeply needed, one who loved and chose them. Together, they grew their family to 46 strong.
He found joy in serving, teaching, and spending time with anyone willing to be with him. His curiosity and smile will be greatly missed.
Gregery is survived by his wife, Donna, and children: Michelle, Ben, Amber, Russell, Charity, Mike, Bryan, Lisa, and Kristina. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Lund. He was preceded in death by his wife Marva, son Ammon, daughter Toni, his parents, sister Joan Phippen, and brothers Ernest Lund, Fred Bernard Lund, Warren Lund, and Loren Lund.
The family thanks every single person and medical professional who showed up with care and kindness to Gregery.
His last words were, “I love ya.”
