With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory Lynn Altimore, who left us on August 18, 2025, in Madras, Oregon, at the age of 76.

Born on January 27, 1949, in Canton, Ohio, Greg lived a life full of passion, adventure, and service. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He touched the lives of many
with his steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering sense of loyalty. Greg had a deep love for animals, often finding comfort in their company and caring for them with the same gentle
heart that he showed to everyone he met. He found joy both on the water with a fishing rod in hand and under the hood of a car. His lifelong fascination with speed led him to race not just
cars, but horses as well-an adventurous streak that never quite left him.

Greg worked for many years as a skilled mechanic, the kind of man who could fix just about anything. He was also a proud volunteer firefighter, always ready to lend a hand when his community needed him most. His strength, humility, and sense of duty were deeply admired by those who knew him.

Greg's family was his greatest joy. He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Edward Altimore, his mother Eileen Mae (Berg) Altimore, and his siblings Bob, John, Michael, Mark, Anna, Susan, and Ruth. He is also preceded in death by his beloved daughter Sonja and his dear grandchildren Jessica Nicole Harding and Jordan McMillan.

Greg is survived by his brother Samuel, his sister Claudia, and his children Melanie Daggett, Lindsey Small, Kurt Altimore, and Tasha Altimore, along with numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, all of whom carry his memory in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor his life and legacy on October 11th, 2025, at Redmond Grange Hall in Redmond, Oregon from 11am to 3pm The family asks that those who
knew and loved him remember him in their own way-perhaps with a quiet moment by the water, a long drive, or an act of kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg's name to your local Fire Department or Humane Society.
