Ruth Altimore Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 7, 2025.
Ruth Ann Altimore, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2025. Born on January 24, 1961, in Canton, Ohio, Ruth was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Edward Sr. and Eileen Altimore; siblings: Michael Anthony Altimore, Mark Paul Altimore, Susan Kay Altimore, John Altimore, and James Robert Altimore. She leaves behind her loving siblings, Samuel Edward Altimore Jr., Gregory Lynn Altimore, and Claudia Lorraine Curren; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
Ruth was not only a dedicated family member but also a person of deep spiritual faith. She loved the Lord fiercely and had a heart that embraced everyone she encountered. She was known to have the biggest heart and help all those in need, even spending several years working as an LPN. Those who knew her will remember her generous spirit and her unwavering support. Ruth had a special bond with her dear friends, Roger Epps, George Godfrey, and Mitra Cunningham (with whom she shared many joyful adventures traveling together), which brought her immense happiness.
A celebration of Ruth's life and memorial services will be held at a later date, details of which will be announced as they are finalized.
