Gregory Andrew Baiunco, 50, of Bergen County, NJ, passed from this life and entered eternal rest on June 17, 2023. He was born on April 13, 1973, in Hackensack, NJ to Louise Baiunco and the late Joseph P. Baiunco.
Gregory spent his early years in Saddle Brook, NJ until later attending Martin County High School in Stuart, FL. After high school, Gregory proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Gregory began to pursue his passion in helping others achieve optimal health and wellness as a personal trainer.
Gregory was a kind, humble, hardworking, and dedicated father, and husband, who lived each day with gratitude and love. He has left behind his wife and true love Catherine Elizabeth Baiunco, and his beloved sons, Tyler (24), Gregory (9), Christian (5), and Nicholas (13 months) Baiunco. He is also survived by his mother, Louise Baiunco, brothers Joseph and Thomas Baiunco, sister Therese "Tracey" Marrone, as well as his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Callari, father-in-law, Ronald Callari, and brother-in-law David Callari. Gregory also leaves behind many other family members and friends.
Gregory was a true family man, who always made his wife/soulmate Cathy and his precious children his first priority. Gregory had a larger-than-life personality, and his huge presence positively impacted his family, friends, and clients on a daily basis. His upbeat voice, laughter, and charisma was a constant in his family and in the community and will be missed dearly.
Gregory thrived on routine and enjoyed sharing his early morning cups of coffee (from Dunkin) with his beautiful wife Cathy, as she always prepared him a breakfast of champions.
This was the highlight of his day.
Gregory competed in many Ironman triathlons, and due to his mental and physical strength, was able to complete these incredible races. Gregory dedicated every single one of his workouts to his children. In addition, with every workout that Gregory did to prepare for upcoming competitions, he always made it a point to involve his sons. Whether it was a family run, a family bike ride, or swimming in the pool with his boys, he always included them. Gregory's entire life was his family.
When not spending time with his family, working out, or training clients, Gregory could be found driving around in his truck listening to music, or choosing his next pair of Hoka sneakers.
Although Gregory is no longer with us, his family and friends will forever be "Powered by Baiunco."
A visitation will be held at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
A Funeral Mass of will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park, NJ, where Gregory was a member, and had shared his deep Catholic faith. All are welcome to join in prayer and reflection on Gregory's life.

I met Greg and sold him a car, he was a true pleasure with a great personality, he would stop by with his son whom he was always so proud of . My Mom had a heart attack and my niece broke her leg and he would reach out to see how they were doing. You were a true pleasure to know, condolences to your family. Rest in peace my friend, very sorry to hear of your loss.
