Gregory G. “Greg” Beekman, 66, of Humboldt, passed away Saturday morning, February 7, 2026, while in hospice care in Fort Dodge.
Gregory was born March 16, 1959 in Storm Lake, Iowa the son of Robert and Gloria (Nielsen) Beekman. He grew up on a farm near Pocahontas and helped on the family farm. After graduation he began working for Hy-Capacity in Humboldt. Greg was united in marriage to Cynthia S. Garton on June 16, 1980 in Laurens. The couple made their home in Humboldt where they raised their family. Greg worked for forty-six years at Hy-Capacity retiring in 2025. He especially enjoyed time with his family and grandkids, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Hawkeye Girls, bowling, riding his Harley Davidson, trips on the bike with his friends and his bi-annual trips to Las Vegas with his wife.
Greg is survived by his wife Cindy of Humboldt, son Chris (Missy) Beekman of Tampa, Florida and daughter Brittany (Hernan) Ramos of Webster City, his grandchildren; Ascher Gregory, Alexander Matthew, Nolan Martin and Liam Gregory, his brothers; Dwight (Michelle) Beekman of Pocahontas, Doug (Brandy) Beekman of Round Hill, Virginia and Joe (Mindy) Beekman of Rochester, Iowa and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Matthew.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11th at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery. www.masonlindhart.com
