Gregory Lynn Bishop, known to all as Greg, departed this world on December 17, 2025, at the age of 58, in New Site, Alabama, where he was surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 13, 1967, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to Howard L. Bishop and Glenda Yates Bishop. Greg's life was a testament to the values of love, devotion, and generosity that he held dear.

Greg's legacy of love and steadfastness is carried on by his cherished wife of 38 years, Angela Tate Bishop; his sons, William Thomas Bishop (Jessica), Christopher Lynn Bishop (Ashley), Aron Howard Bishop (Kayla), and Andrew Clay Bishop. His grandchildren, Lukas Thomas Bishop, Jayden Rose Bishop, Benley Lynn Bishop, Paisley Eve Bishop, Morgan Nichole Bishop, Gracie Faith Bishop, and Hunter Clay Bishop, will miss their grandfather's boundless affection and support. He also leaves behind his mother, Glenda Yates Bishop; his sisters, Robbie (Lee) Railey and Tammy (Henry) Harding; his mother-in-law, Faye Tate; and his siblings-in-law, Linda (Philip) Grant, James (Kim) Cotney, Johnny Cotney, and Gerald Lynn Cotney. Additionally, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members will carry forward the light of Greg's presence in their lives. Greg was preceded in death by his beloved grandchild, McKinley Ann Bishop; his father, Howard L. Bishop; his father-in-law, James Tate; and his grandparents.

Professionally, Greg was a skilled HVAC technician, a career that allowed him to demonstrate his remarkable talent for problem-solving and his desire to make life more comfortable for others. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every task he undertook.

Greg's life was one of active and joyful participation in his community, particularly as a member of New Salem Baptist Church. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, and he shared the message of the Lord's goodness with an open heart and spirit. Greg's selfless nature was apparent in every aspect of his life; he was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer support, and share whatever he had with those in need.

An avid outdoorsman, Greg found peace and pleasure in hunting and fishing. His hands were skilled at fixing anything that was broken, and many will remember him for the countless times he came to their aid. Greg's generosity knew no bounds, and he often did so quietly, without any desire for recognition.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Greg will remember him as a loving, selfless, and generous man. He was a beacon of kindness in the lives of his family and friends. Greg's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories of his good deeds, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless lives he touched with his warm and generous spirit.

Gregory Lynn Bishop's life was a beautiful portrait of what it means to live for others, and his legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
