Scotty Buchanan, age 61, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his residence. He was born on August 24, 1964, in Clarksville, TN, the son of Ronald Eugene and Kay Francis Scarborough Buchanan.
Scotty was currently employed with local contractors at Fort Campbell, KY and previously worked with Stewart County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator. He was a dedicated and hardworking man and enjoyed his work. Scotty took great pride in his profession and the friendships he made along the way.
Above all, Scotty was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially watching his grandchildren grow. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and appreciating the beauty of nature. Scotty loved the Lord and member of Hopewell Community Church. Known for his warm smile and encouraging spirit, he brought joy and positivity to everyone around him.
Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Kay Buchanan.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Buchanan; daughter, Ashlee Halliburton (Jameson); grandchildren, Charlotte and Haylei Halliburton; sister, Rhonda Buchanan-Howell (Chris); and nephew, Tyler Mounts (Tabitha).
A visitation and funeral service will be held at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and will resume on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Mitchell Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Dunbar Chapel Cemetery. Serve as pallbearers are David Schmidt, Tyler Mounts, Chris Howell, David Miller, Josh Miller and Jameson Halliburton.
