Gregory Burbage Obituary

Bath, North Carolina – Gregory Vann Burbage, 75, of Bath, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Noon, on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Athens Chapel Church of Christ in Bath. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Minister Chris Hux will be officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. A private family burial will be held on a later day at St Clair's Church of Christ. Pallbearers include Sonny Cordon, Larry Cordon, Rocky Allen, Rodger Credle, Brett Burbage, and Braedon Burbage.
Greg was born on August 5, 1949, to the late Forrest Andrew Burbage and Marie Cordon Burbage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Amanda Burbage, and brothers Don Andrew Burbage and Roger Dale Burbage, as well as his cousin and dear friend, Tracy Ryan Cordon.
Greg was raised, attended high school, and married in Virginia Beach, VA. He moved to Bath, NC to continue his career in custom home construction. Greg could fix anything with a gum wrapper, but his real passion was playing music, riding motorcycles, riding on his lawn mower or golf cart, and spending time with friends and family. He never met a stranger and knew someone everywhere he went. Everyone has a great Greg story.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Taylor Burbage of Bath, NC, son and daughter-in-law, Trent Burbage and Kelly Burbage along with their children Kayla, Christian, and Chloe of Raleigh, NC, and brother Rex Burbage of Virginia Beach, VA along with many cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Greg was a devoted husband, brother, father, and "Granddaddy". His memory and legacy will live on through those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Joseph B. Paul Jr. Funeral Service is honored to assist the Burbage family.
