Gregory Dale Cornish, a resident of White Cloud, MI, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 72. Born in Clawson, Michigan, on July 9, 1953, Gregory was a spirited soul whose life was a tapestry of hard work, creativity, and the love of family and nature.
Gregory was a man of many talents, dedicating much of his professional life to roles including welder, machine operator, photographer, and fabricator. He even found joy in the unique endeavor of crafting hot tubs from scratch. His hands were never idle, always creating, mending, and improving the world around him which included, fabricating, and dabbling in the oil wells industry as well. Outside of work, Gregory immersed himself in projects around the home. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, singing and writing poems. When he wasn't camping, he adored spending time with his grandchildren, imparting wisdom, laughter, and love.
Gregory leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish his memory. He is survived by his beloved children, Olivia Cornish and Lindsey Brace; his precious grandchildren, Helios Brace and Freya Griff; and his devoted siblings, Karen (T.L.) Lowe, Gary (Michelle) Cornish, Deb (George) Bright, Jeff (Cathy) Cornish, and Kevin (Jeanette) Cornish. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Gregory was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne (Carmen) Cornish, and his sister, Cheryl Lehman.
The family will announce a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - White Cloud Chapel.
