A son, brother, father, husband, inlaw and the thing he is most proud to be a Grandfather.
He was employed with the Department of Transportation for the state of North Carolina for many years, before his decline in health. Greg is survived by his parents Willie Cardell Crisp and Calvesta Chambers Crisp of Alamance County, NC, Former wife Phyllis Crisp, his children Renee Nicole Lynch (Fatima), Josuhua Steeler Henderson, Cardell Davis Crisp, Aree'Ana McCandies (Keith), Zachory Amesche Crisp (Kadara), Isaiah Christopher Crisp, Phillip Alexander Crisp, Gregory Caleb Crisp; two brothers:Desi Crisp and Johnathan Crisp as well as a host of additional nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Greg is predeceased by both his paternal grandparents James Henry Crisp and Magdaline Blackwell Crisp, maternal grandparents Thomas Isaac Chambers and Lillie Fuller Chambers.
Gregory was born in Chapel Hill, Orange County North Carolina on June 4, 1963. He graduated from Eastern Alamance High School where he made many lifelong friendships and fond memories as a young man. Greg married Phyllis Lynch on September 27,1986 and from this union the had eight children, whom he loved dearly.
Greg was a DEVOTED grandfather (PawPaw) of 12 grandchildren Trevor JoSeth Ellington Lynch, Cameryn Noelle Crisp, Cayden Naomi Crisp, Carma Renee Crisp, Camani Crisp, Keagan Cole McCandies, Lila Nicole McCandies, Arya James McCandies, Kali Adore Jackson, Zahir Nathan Crisp, Zanyck Jacob Crisp, Koryn Ivy Crisp.
Greg had many pastimes and passions. He enjoyed all genres of music. He was an avid crossword puzzler, he could indate you with many RANDOM facts, He was not a religious man but a believer of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Greg Loved authentic Mexican Food cuisine loved spending quality time with his family, He loved and honored his parents for those who knew him he was an adamant herbalist and beer connoisseur.
