Gregory Dawson Sr. Obituary

Gregory Van Dawson, Sr. departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the age of 74, at St. Joseph's Hospice, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gregory graduated from Capitol High School in 1968. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Gregory went on to earn a Masters degree in Law Enforcement and joined Louisiana State Police, where he served the citizens of Louisiana for 25 years. He served his country over 40 years in the U.S. Army, holding the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and retiring as a Major with 377th TSC (Theater Sustainment Command). Funeral Service is Friday, May 31, 2024 ~ 10:00 a.m. with viewing from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Charity Christian Center - 871 O'Neal Lane ~ Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816, Pastor Linda Bradford, Officiating.
