Gregory DeQuasie Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Midwest City on Mar. 4, 2026.
On Sunday, March 1, Gregory DeQuasie, a devoted son and loving father of three, passed away at the age of 58. Greg was born on January 10, 1968, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Louis and Dorothea (Miller) DeQuasie.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Oklahoma in 1992, where he also started on the football team for all four years. He went on to establish his own agency with Farmers Insurance, which he proudly operated for 28 years in Midwest City. During his time in business, he was inducted into the Farmers Insurance Hall of Fame in 2015 and became a member of the Order of the Blue Vase, an exclusive group comprised of the company's most elite agents.

Greg loved all things OU, especially Sooner football. He was an active member of the OU Alumni Association and never missed a spring game or a chance to reconnect with his teammates. He also cherished his time at the lake, where his family was just steps away. Above all, Greg loved supporting his children and took great joy in watching them pursue their passions. Everywhere he went, he always saw a familiar face. There was never a stranger in the room. His laugh was contagious, and he never failed to make the people around him smile.

He is survived by his parents, Louis and Dorothea DeQuasie; his three children, Regan, Riley, and Gage; and his three brothers, Brent, Buck, and Richard.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, March 8, 2026, 1PM – 8 PM at Barnes Friederich and Pope Funeral Home, 1820 S Douglas Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73130. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 2 PM at Choctaw Road Baptist Church. Flowers may be sent to: Choctaw Road Baptist Church 14971 E Reno Ave

I am sadden to hear about Greg's passing! I went to school with him at Monroney and Midwest City High School. He was always so nice and kind, and one heck of a football player! He will be missed!!
Lord bring comfort to the DeQuasie family during this time.
